"A powerful message..."

- WVC

As the film is done. The festival submissions await. Carbajal [director] stated that he now is hoping for the festivals to bring the right person to finance this dream/important indie-project, that Carbajal promises is worthy of it's story.

American Moonlight is a well known project in Carbajal's hometown, and most people keep in mind to await the feature film, that is supposed to be shot in his hometown, too.

Carbajal stated that Grabowski, Silkotch, and Melgar have signed onto the feature film cast, in a heartbeat. There is no word that Palma (Mark) is set to return to the project, as he has not signed onto American Moonlight's feature film cast. Though, Daniel Campos, executive producer, stated that Carbajal will replace Palma. However, Campos said that he, Carbajal and the cast for the feature film know who's taking Mark's place.

Behind the Moonlight

"Purely high class different..."

- Film Madness

American Moonlight was only shot in one day: nine-hours, with only five crew behind the camera.

American Moonlight was originally a project titled 'Light-Post', intended to be a feature film project, but failed due to financing issues. However, the project went through five re-writes, and was titled American Moonlight. There, it was supposed to be a feature, but, again, the film was turned into a short, after another finding financing issue.

The project was created when director Jeremiah Carbajal experienced an issue with a child sex-offender, who stated 'he slept with underaged girls.' As Jeremiah tried finding the guy, he couldn't and prayed it was all just a prank. However, he took it in mind to write the script, as he and his three friends experienced the whole sex-offender incident. He changed the script into a scandal. His message in the feature film screenplay is a message to all parents, stating that no matter catholic or public, we need to look out and ask our kids how school was, and to ask them about their day every day.
